is it possible to run vSAN over 2node-Cluster with RDMA?

I have only 2 nodes and struggling with VMWare support, because they say that is is not supported (
https://core.vmware.com/resource/vsan-70u3-proof-concept-guide)

Requirements:

• Network card support for RDMA RoCEv2
• Switch support for RDMA RoCEv2
• Switch configuration for PFC

>>>> No vSAN Stretch Cluster or 2node support

• No LACP configured on network uplinks
• Enable RDMA function for vSAN

No Support for 2node within RDMA/RoCEv2?? I dont understand it. Do you see technically that it still should work?

Hi Romain. Is this definite? I am able to attach a vhd set to a 2012r2 guest and can see the disk and format it in the os. Does it break when two 2012r2 guests try to negotiate locks on the disk?

Great article. I would like to see a follow-up one, that is for after recovery the Veeam server and its configuration database. Assuming the site is replicating backups to AWS with local retention of 60 days, how to copy back to the Veeam Server the backups within those 60 days.

Note: site using at least Veeam 10 with the immediate copy to AWS feature enabled.
